BLSC Lifeguards
Life guarding Wednesday 1900– 2200hrsRLSS National Pool Lifeguard courses are run on a 16 week cycle commencing January, May & Sept RLSS Beach Lifeguard courses commencing March for Theory, First Aid & Resuscitation and April for Pool and Open water training. Both of these course have weekly continues assessment, and only if the on going assessment meets the technical competency level of the trainer assessor will the candidates be put forward for external final assessment. On going beach and pool lifeguard training takes place each month on the last Wednesday eveing from 1900 to 2200 hrs First Aid at work courses run Mar and October to accommodate those training for life guarding and then open to members of the public.
 Lifeguard Patrols Saturday/Sunday 1300-1700Rookie Lifesavers, Assistant Beach Lifesavers, Lifeguards & Patrollers. If you attend lifesaving or life guarding classes you have the option to attend patrols at Blyth beach between end of May and the beginning of September to patrol the beach and learn skills of static observer, VHF radio communication, body boarding, boat handling, canoeing, sea swimming and communicating safety advice to the public
