Lifesaving

Wednesday 1915-2100 hrsThis section is for all those wishing to learn lifesaving, Resuscitation & first Aid skills.  The Junior section works through the Rookie levels 1,2,3,4,5 which is based on age, personal survival and basic rescue of others. The youth section which is 13 to 16 years work through Lifesaving 123, Bronze Medallion, Award, Merit and Distinction.These awards include oral theory and practical and therefore cover 45 minutes theory and 45 minutes aquatic. The awards are assessed every ten weeks. The skills have to be technically correct at the assessment  as laid down by the Royal Lifesaving Society.

Lifesaving Competitions

Wednesday 2100-2200 hrsLifesaving competitions is for all ages interested in combining speed with lifesaving and resuscitation skills. We enter competitions and Leeds, Heanor, Rotherham Billingham and the National speed championships at Sheffield. These competitions ranges from wet and dry initiatives, towing manikins, obstacles rope throws, fin & tow.Â
